From Media Resources MUMBAI (AFP) - Better acknowledged for its romantic escapism, Bollywood is introducing a series of political satires throughout India's election season that punch fun at corrupt lawmakers and spiritual tensions.
Bhoothnath Returns Amitabh Bachchan
Featuring a goat, a phantom and a doubtful dead body, three upcoming releases are aimed at making voters consider prior to they cast their ballots - even though none refers honestly to real-life candidates.
In family entertainer "Bhoothnath Returns", opening on Friday, Bollywood's leading legend Amitabh Bachchan plays a pleasant ghost who takes on an evil and corrupt local politician at the polls.
The comedy horror film "gives a solid meaning of voting through its storyline", Mr Bachchan told the Press Trust of India news group.
